I am a Senior Lecturer and Acting Language Coordinator in the Faculty of Business and Management Science at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology, Cape Town, South Africa (RSA). I teach communication studies in the business faculty and supervise postgraduate students.

My research interests include language policy and planning, language Ideologies and attitudes, politics of language, multilingualism and planning, linguistic landscapes, second language acquisition, teaching English as a Second/third language, intercultural communication, research methodology, academic literacy and development.
